SOPA and PIPA: Gone (for Now)

Last Wednesday, amidst 24-blackouts on websites -- most notably Wikipedia -- two bills in the House and Senate were cast in the limelight: the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and the Protect Intellectual Property Act (PIPA). Both bills sought to make online piracy of creative content something that could actually be punished, so that people in creative industries that depend on intellectual property laws could maybe start making money again.

However, both bills over-reached, and made all forms of hosting pirated content illegal.

Meaning, if someone uploaded a pirated video to YouTube, and you linked to that YouTube video on your blog, and one of your friends posted a link to your blog on Facebook, everyone involved is fucked. Under SOPA and PIPA, that one act could warrant shutting down Facebook, YouTube, and your personal blog. Not to mention that everyone from the original pirate to Mark Zuckerberg could face jailtime. Oh, and if any of these sites appear in Google search results, Google's shutdown too.

Basically, if SOPA and PIPA were too have passed, and were to have been enforced, the entire Internet would be largely inaccessible and hugely censored.

Luckily (for now) both bills have been tabled. The veritable geriatric convention that is Congress took a hint that maybe they didn't understand the Internet when over 7 million people signed a petition against the bills. However, keep an eye out for new iterations of them. SOPA and PIPA have just been tabled -- not rejected.

While shutting down Wikipedia for a day seems to have knocked some sense into Congress, if we want to keep the Internet free and uncensored in the US (which, we do) then we may have to do even more than put up with a whole day where college students can't plagiarize their homework.

Mitt Romney, Jon Huntsman, Barack Obama, and... Stephen Colbert?

As if the Republican Primary process wasn’t a big enough joke already, after a recent poll showed him beating Jon Huntsman in the South Carolina Primary, it looks like Stephen Colbert may be throwing his hat in the ring.

According to Public Policy Polling (PPP), Colbert is currently garnering 5% of the South Carolina vote for the Republican Primary -- just edging out Huntsman’s 4%. This doesn’t bode well for Huntsman (also known as “The Other Mormon Candidate” or more accurately “The Most Reasonable Republican Running”), but it has provided some fun plot points in the new season of the hit reality TV series “American Politics.”

Whether Colbert will actually run, or even be allowed to do so (he’s long since missed the November 1st filing date) remains to be seen, but what is clear from the whole debacle is how much trouble Huntsman is in, which is particularly unfortunate for, well, everyone. Alongside Mitt Romney, Huntsman represents the best hope the Republican Party has to actually beat Obama in a General Election, and if he’s polling below someone who is basically a fake person, his chances don’t seem great.

Like it or not, Obama, the president of Hope and Change and Yes We Can has been the most anti-business president in our history. He spent the first half of his term completely ignoring the obviously broken economy, instead focusing on Obamacare, financial reform, and coming up with new one-liners that might trick people into voting for him again. Then, when he finally got around to acknowledging the huge deficit, monumental unemployment rate, and general lack of investment in the US, he basically just said to the business community “you’re evil if you don’t want to pay my insanely high taxes and instead invest your money (totally legally) off-shore.” Shockingly, that didn’t jumpstart the economy.

Which brings us to where we are today. We have a president who neither trusts nor is trusted by the business community. Our economy is still fucked. And one of the only two people that could beat Obama, is losing to a comedian.

With Huntsman effectively out of the race, here’s hoping that Romney gets the Republican nomination, the Obamaphiles don’t pull the wool over America’s eyes once again, and this time next year Obama will be issuing last-minute pardons while Romney dusts off his tux for the Inauguration Ball.

Ringing in 2012 - Miami Style

If there's any city in the world that give New York some competition on New Year's Eve, it's Miami. Sure, the eyes of the nation and the world are on New York as the ball drops in Times Square, and of course, there are no shortage of incredible parties to attend in New York. But, what Miami has that New York doesn't are sandy beaches, warm temperatures, and a party scene like none in the world.

This New Year's Eve was no exception: while the party raged on up in New York, down in Miami some of the hottest people in the world attended some of the most decadent parties. Fueled by seemingly endless amounts of champagne and a couture wardrobe, Miami's hottest hit the town, bidding adieu to 2011 and welcoming 2012 in a way that could almost make New Yorkers jealous.

As the clock struck midnight, and 2011 was officially over, Miami revellers popped another bottle of champagne, momentarily payed homage to the ball dropping in Times Square, and then happily returned to their dance party in the salty South Beach air.

When the night was over, women in Miami and New York breathed a sigh of relief as they removed their 6-inch heels. Of course, women in Miami then walked barefoot on the beach, not down The Bowery.

Happy New Year! Now Let's Bring On 2012

2011 was a year to remember, with nights spent dancing until the sun rose and days spent reminiscing, recounting stories, and sometimes just trying to remember...

To celebrate such an epic year, RedRush hosted three parties across the city this New Year's Eve, each one an unequivocal success.

At The Bunker Club, guests arrived dressed to the nines and descended into a non-stop dance party. Bunker, with its exposed brick and legendary dance floor, made for the perfect backdrop for the debauchery of the night. The dancing only stopped momentarily as Jacomino quieted the music and led the crowd in a countdown to the New Year: when the clock struck 12, everyone toasted champagne and more than a few people had more than few new year's kisses...

Let me set the scene for you at Above Allen at the Thompson Hotel: It's 9:00pm on New Year's Eve at one of the most exclusive lounges in the city. A few people have begun to trickle in. There is a light, happy atmosphere. As people are drinking their first (of many) cocktails, there is something in the air. It is the calm before the storm. And, on the turn of the dime, this electricity takes over the room as people begin filtering in, champagne is being popped, people start dancing and laughter fills the room. At midnight, a quiet descends again, as the ball drops and fireworks start to go. Through Above Allen's unbelievable retractable glass roof, everyone watches the beautiful fireworks over the amazing city skyline. And then, the dancing, the champagne, the decadence, all start again.

Hotel Chantelle was, simply put, a party that will go down in history. Hotel Chantelle opened up its three, Parisian-inspired floors, for one of the most incredible New Year's parties in the city. On the roof, guests lounged and danced and drank their bodyweight in champagne. The lobby, from the beginning of the night, was packed - with people mingling and drinking from the earliest hours of the evening, dressed in everything from floor-length sequined gowns to feather miniskirts. And finally, on the sexy, underground dance floor, people filed in all night, stopping dancing only to refill their drink.

I could go on and on, but I think a guest of our Hotel Chantelle party put it best in an email I received New Year's Day: "That. Was. The. Best."

So thanks to all of you for making New Year's Eve such an unforgettably epic night.

Now shake off your hangovers and let's get to making 2012 an even better year. I hope that was dramatic enough for you.

Van Halen Announce 2012 Tour - complete with David Lee Roth

Frat boys and their fathers alike are celebrating this week as Van Halen announced a 2012 tour, led by their notorious frontman of the 70s and 80s, David Lee Roth.

Roth and the Van Halens (the current line-up ridiculously includes drummer Alex Van Halen, guitarist Eddie Van Halen and his son, bassist Wolfgang Van Halen) have a rocky history to be sure, but the Roth-era of Van Halen is regarded as Van Halen's best. (Whether this is because music, as a whole, has gone steeply downhill since 1984 or because Roth's Van Halen was actually better, is up for debate.)

While I'm definitely rooting for them (who would want to miss out on the chance to see "Hot For Teacher" performed live by 57-year-olds?) I think we're all in agreement that an old-fashioned Rock and Roll, on-stage meltdown would be -- as Larry David says -- pretty, pretty good.

LiLo's Playboy Cover Expected to Break Sales Records

Over the weekend, Lindsay Lohan’s much-anticipated Playboy issue hit newsstands. After a week of Internet leaks (first the cover the day before its scheduled debut on The Ellen Show, and later the entire contents of Lohan’s pictorial,) and speculation that the magazine actually wouldn’t sell that well – it was unclear if this much ballyhooed issue was going to make the impact both Playboy and Lohan hoped it would.

However, it looks like those fears may have been unfounded. While sales figures aren’t official yet, TMZ reports that many newsstands in larger cities have already ordered extra copies. What’s more, Playboy has seen an unprecedented increase in online purchases and subscriptions.

At this rate, the LiLo issue may very well break sales records and be a huge forPlayboy. What remains to be seen is if this will be a wine for Lindsay herself. It’s no secret that she’s had a rough run the last few years, and perhaps, this unequivocal success could set her in the right direction. Or maybe it’s the last nail in the coffin, and instead of a the teen idol, megastar she once was, she’ll now be confined to the pages of men’s magazines.

Madonna Confirmed for Super Bowl Halftime

Today, The NFL confirmed that Madonna will be performing at this year's Super Bowl halftime show on February 5th. After eight years of pretending that they were really sorry for the Janet Jackson "wardrobe malfunction," they have apparently finally decided that it's been long enough, and they can book another used-to-be-famous and used-to-be-risque act for the Super Bowl. Let's all let out a huge sigh of relief: our God-given right to watch a has-been 50 year old in soft focus sing hits from 1987 has been restored.

What do you want to hear Madonna play? I certainly don't care. All in all, this year's Super Bowl is shaping up to be one of the least interesting in years: Madonna performing at half-time, overly politically correct ads after the Groupon incident last year, and almost certainly a win by last year's champions and the currently undefeated Packers.

Maybe the NFL should've just canceled the season after all.

Greenhouse's sub-basement space, W.i.P., opens

Have you come out of your post-Thanksgiving coma yet? I hope so, because what you might've missed in the holiday melee was the opening of W.i.P., the new nightclub in Greenhouse's sub-basement. The art-themed, 5,000 square-foot club opened less than two weeks ago, and is already getting some major buzz: Steve Lewis of BlackBook thinks W.i.P. (pronounced whip) is going to be New York's Next Big Thing.

W.i.P. is open daily from 6pm until 4am, so mix-up your week a little bit, and come enjoy this subterranean gem. Gawk at the art and the contortionists, sip on a few cocktails, and mingle: maybe it'll just "whip" your week into shape.

An End of An Era: The Dark Knight Rises to be Christian Bale's last Batman Film

Christian Bale announced today that The Dark Knight Rises, the third installment in Christopher Nolan's Batman series, will be the last film of the franchise.

Bale's first role as Batman, in Batman Begins, was received with critical acclaim, but was nothing compared to the attention the series' second-installment, The Dark Knight received. The Dark Knight,an excellent film by any measure, received extra attention after HeathLedger's tragic death was announced just before its premiere (Heath'sperformance in the film had critics and audiences alike astounded, andthere was even talk of awarding him a posthumous Oscar.)

Bale finished filming The Dark Knight Rises just a few days ago, and with it wrapped an era. While Christian Bale's interpretation of Batman will certainly be missed, I have a feeling that Christopher Nolan will wrap up the series excellently. One can hope, anyway.

This Weekend, Twilight: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 grossed over $139 million, in what is most likely to be the fifth largest movie opening in history. While I'm all for a night at the movies (say, a Tuesday night) I certainly can't support an opening of this size for a movie this terrible on a weekend as epic as this past one.

In case you were too busy watching tween vampire porn, here is what you missed: an outrageous night at Griffin on Thursday (where the party got started right around the time your midnight premiere did,) one of the last not-freezing-cold weekends in New York equipped with girls dressed like it's not-freezing-cold for one last time until Spring, some of the best dancing this City has ever seen at The Box on Saturday, and so much more that didn't involve anyone named 'Renesmee.'

Some things never change: Lindsay Lohan, after violating her probation, was sentenced this morning to 30 days in jail. The actress has repeatedly skipped court-mandated community service (janitorial duty at a morgue - who wouldn't skip that?) and its landed her back in jail.

While this certainly is bad news for the actress, she's not due to return to jail until November 7th, which means she'll still be able to do the Playboy shoot she has booked for this week. Lohan reportedly has a six-figure contract with the magazine, and her impending jailing, may just hype up the magazine even more.

End of an Era for "Rescue Me"

Last night ended a great run for the series "Rescue Me". As in familiar style, this was no teary eyed ending that would touch your heart but it was an honorable way to end the highly rated series.

The series first came on the air in 2004 and centers around the life of firefighter Tommy Gavin(Dennis Leary) and his fellow fire fighters. It is set in post 9/11 NYC and the audience feels the full effects that the tragedy had on the men. The chemistry that holds the men together is what makes this show. Vulgarity, sarcasm, and the loyalty evoked by these guys is what kept this show going for so long. Every episode kept the audience screaming for more and they kept giving it to us.

Although the last episode was bittersweet, it ended in just the right way. It made an impact and kept to the roots of the show. If you haven't seen the last episode yet, check it out. It is not one to miss.

Scott is looking to make something completely new from the first film while still hovering on the ideals of the original plot.,

A knife wielding robber may have been the one robbed of something after his plot to rob an Austrian woman of $570 was foiled. No, not by the police but by victim. After telling the burglar numerous times she wasn't going to give him her money, the robber then took off his mask, dropped the knife and gave his sob story. According to the woman, the man claimed that he was homeless and had no money. She then gave him $130 in pity money and let him leave. Her husband was not so generous though. He called the police and the robber was arrested a day later.

Gavin Degraw Recovering after NYC attack

Singer Gavin Degraw was attacked by a group of men on Sunday night. The attack left him with a broken nose and concussion among other injuries. After the attack, Degraw was said to be seen walking down the NYC street dazed and confused and was struck by a cab after stumbling into the road.

Thirty-four year old Degraw tweeted last night that he does not remember much of the beating and thank fans who offered their condolences. Due to the attack, concerts in New York City as well as Massachusetts had to be cancelled.

His new album, "Sweeter" is due out this coming September.

Fell in Love with "The Rock Show"

This past Saturday night I spent it with one of the best bands of our generation, Blink-182. The band that started it all for me. They've been my favorite band since I was 12 years old, it's always so amazing to get the chance to see them live. This was my second time seeing them live and they sure know how to pack a full house. My first time was 2 summers ago in 2009 for the reunion tour. Fans of all ages were running around the venue, ranging from teens like myself to little kids with their parents sporting the blink logos on their shirts.

Manchester Orchestra and My Chemical Romance were the openers before Blink but we were running late so I missed both their sets. The band opened the show with the classic “Feeling This” which got the crowd running wild. They played a mixture of oldies from classic albums, “Enema of the State” and “Take Off Your Pants and Jacket” along with a few singles from the new album “Neighborhoods” being released on September 27^th. Super impressed with the new songs and can't wait for the new album to come out.

These boys never fail to disappoint, that's how amazing the show was. They have so much energy, it's incredible how amazing they are live. Also the show is never complete without Tom Delonge, the lead singer's humour and sarcastic remarks between the bassist Mark Hoppus. And of course who could ever forget the amazing Travis Barker and his amazing solos. I could see them time and time again and never get sick of it. If you haven't checked out this concert yet, you are seriously missing out!

Have they really toned down Catwoman's Image?

This week, photos of Anne Hathaway starring as Selina Kyle, have been released in anticipation of the new upcoming film "Dark Night Rises". The film will once again star actor Christian Bale as Batman and has so far had very high expectations.

By photos that have been released, it can be assumed that Hathaway's costume will not be as sexual as the one that Michelle Pfeiffer wore in "Batman Returns". Sorry guys... I guess we'll have to go and watch for the acting. I'm disappointed also. However, Batman will be driving the new Lamborghini Aventador that comes complete with a Gotham license plate! At least we have that to look forward to.

The movie is currently being filmed in Pittsburgh and is set to hit theaters some time next summer. Will it be a disapointment? Probably not. Don't get too excited yet, we have almost a year to go before the long awaited release.

Captain America: Can he rescue his own movie?

Captain America makes his triumphant return to the silver screen this summer and its sure not to disappoint. Director Joe Jonston does disapoint with his new film and keeps it modern yet set in the proper time period of the 1940's, WWII era. The cast includes some big names like Tommy Lee Jones who places the captain's superior officer.

Although reviews are not what many may have hoped for, this is still much better than many of those dragged out comic book movies that were absolutely horrible (Remember Green Lantern...) The movie may start slow but it breaks out into an acclaimed super hero film that may actually be entertaining. You may have to see this one for yourself.

Kings of Leon Cancel U.S. Tour

After cutting a show short in Dallas on Friday night, the Kings of Leon have announced plans to cancel the remainder of their U.S. Tour. According to MTV news, due to the lead singer Caleb Followill suffering from vocal issues and exhaustion they had to cancel. “The band is devastated, but in order to give their fans the show they deserve, they need to take this break.”

The band had planned to reschedule the Dallas show, where frontman Caleb Followill had fallen ill, and had to postpone a Saturday night gig in Houston. However, it seems even those plans have been laid aside. “Unfortunately, the US dates cannot be rescheduled due to the band's international tour schedule” the statement continues. “Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase. Tickets purchased online or via phones will automatically be refunded.”

For now , Followill will get the rest he seems to need. The band will kick off the next leg of the tour next month but also a bit later than originally planned. Kings of Leons' bassist and Caleb's brother, Jared Followill, cited some internal issues as a cause for the tour hiatus as well.

Jay-Z and Kanye Clash Over “Watch the Throne” Tour

The best rappers in the game have not even begun their Watch the Throne tour and there are already reports of the two clashing. According to the New York Post, the rappers are “barely speaking” over a dispute over the production values of their tour, which is set to kick off in Detroit on September 22^nd.

The Post's sources say that West is pushing for a flashy concert with “next-level production,” while Jay-Z is focused on keeping costs low in the interest of paying back a long-term advance from the promoter, Live Nation.

The rap titans will need to come to an agreement regarding the staging of their tour by next week, or there will be very upset fans including myself. This is one of the most anticipated tours in the history of all tours, so these rap moguls need to get their stuff together soon!

She's battled drug addiction for years, having most recently checked back into rehab in May. She entered treatment in late 2007 for drug problems, including admitted heroine use. Winehouse has had previous near-death experiences one her ex-husband witnessed himself. In January 2010 she pled guilty to assaulting a theater stage manager.

This news is extremely upsetting, considering she was such a talented artist and dead at truly such a young age. Her funeral is today and my condolences go out to her entire family. Here's a video to look back on her talents, rest in peace Amy.

Is Charlie Sheen Winning Again?

Remember Charlie Sheen? That guy who captivated audiences every week with his antics and his depressing humor that only confirmed how shitty his life actually is? No, I'm not talking about the plot to every episode of "Two and a Half Men", I'm talking about his actual life. Somewhere in between doing ~~drugs,~~ sorry..doing Charlie Sheen, and keeping his in-house prostitutes he calls his "goddesses" busy, he somehow found time to come up with a new T.V. series. He really thought outside the box for this one. Where the hell could an idea about having anger issues come from? He must have been watching re-runs of T&HM and thought.."Hey..that guy should have a show about him". Well..he did just that.

News sources have stated that Charlie Sheen is creating a new sitcom based on the Adam Sandler/Jack Nicholson film Anger management. Sheen, famous for his complete breakdown on T.V. over being fired from "Two and a Half Men" says that it may be a "stretch" for him to play a person with Anger issues. Yeah..thats a hell of a friggin stretch. This is the same guy who has beat up several of his wives and went on a media blitz ripping apart producer Chuck Lorre. Sources also point that Lorre will get the last laugh at that one as he coming up with ideas on how to kill off Sheen's character on the show. Will it be a tradgic car accident, Charlie being killed by one of his prostitute girlfriends, crushed by the weight of his own ego? Guess we'll have to tune in to find out.

So is he winning again? No networks have yet to jump on the idea nor have any producers come through with intentions of working with Sheen. But hey, he's worth more than $85million. Maybe he should just take a break a little bit longer until the tiger blood leaves his system. Or..Maybe we should let him get back to work. (See below)

This is not going to be another one of those sappy, cliche' movies however. Actual on-screen chemistry partnered with a more edgy plot is what is sure to attract the attention of the movie goers. But is it possible to have a no strings attached [affair? Relationship?] without becoming emotionally attached? According to rumors, Mila and Justin couldn't even work alongside each other without the rumors floating that they are dating. I guess you have to find that one out for yourself.

As the final end of an era comes to a final close, it basically slaughters in the box office charts. Currently the film has grossed 169.1 million dollars so far. Earnings were also bossted by higher ticket prices for the movie's 3D version.

Even before the phenomenal opening, the first seven films based on the books by J.K. Rowling were the largest-grossing franchise in history, with worldwide box office takings of $6.4 billion. This final chapter in an epic of series will be memorable in cinema history it'll have you saying Twilight who?

Recently,Desiree Rabuse the Editor-in-Chief of Joonbug, came out for what would be a very memorable night to the AXE Lounge in the Hamptons. She had so much fun in fact that she decided to write an article about it for her publication.

Although all the RedRush Express trips are more fun than one person should be able to have in a single night, this one would be an even more special celebration because it was the birthday of Zack Dugow, the CEO of RedRush Entertainment. Watch out Facebook, you have a new rival coming your way and by the looks of it you might have to hand over your social networking crown. Google announced Tuesday the launch of a new social network, called Google Plus. The site bears a striking resemblance to Facebook with streaming feeds and specialized groups of friends. In fact, Google + gathers many of the features of existing social networks.

The network has five basic components: Circles, Sparks, Hangouts, Instant Uploads, and Huddle. Circles lets you group your contacts-e.g. Friends, work, family. Like Facebook, this feature lets you share information with groups of contacts instead of hitting everyone with your latest update at once. Sparks acts like an RSS reader or Facebook news feed, letting you input things you're interested in and pushing relevant content to you. Hangouts features live group video chats, aiming to foster spontaneous meetings with up to 10 people. You can also alert certain groups of friends when you're hanging out.

Instant Uploads takes care of the increasingly important mobile aspect of social networking, automatically posting users' phone pictures and videos to a private album. From there, users can decide if and with whom they want to share their media. You also have the option to add location data to every Google + post. And Huddle is a group texting feature, that lets you have a group chat through your phone.

As of now, Google + is only available to certain people as it is invite only to test the waters. Personally as I'm a huge fan of Google and social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter, I can't wait for this to take off. She's Not That Innocent

As many of you may know, Casey Anthony, the mother of the deceased 3 year old Caylee Anthony, was not found guilty of first degree murder, aggravated manslaughter of a child, and aggravated child abuse. She was sentenced to 4 misdemeanor counts of providing false information to the courts and law enforcement officers. She was sentenced to a year of jail on July 7th, 2011, but she will most likely be let out on July 17th for credit in time served and good behavior.

Many people are outraged by the Casey Anthony trial, calling it the OJ Simpson trial of this generation. They feel that Caylee Anthony did not receive justice and that Casey Anthony was able to get off because of the loopholes in our justice system. Although there was doubt in the case, which evidently let Casey off the hook, there was a lot of evidence that made Casey Anthony seem very suspicious. The fact that she did not report Caylee missing for month, proves that there is something fishy about Casey Anthony. There were pictures of her partying during the time-span that Caylee was missing, and the words "chloroform" "neck breaking" and "chest injuries" were found in the search engine of Casey's computer. (Her mother claims to be the one to search these terms.) Even with all these facts, Casey still did not get charged for child abuse. Although the jury could not prove that Casey Anthony was guilty, there was tons of evidence that pointed against her. What do you think? Apologetic Burglar Breaks Into Wrong House

Imagine for a second that you're at home when you hear a strange noise only to discover someone is in fact breaking into your house. You could run but instead ask the burglar,"What are you doing in my house?" This is exactly what happened in Vineland NJ earlier this week.

The homeone addressed the theif who was looking for "a guy named Greg". The burglar to be then asked the address of the home only to realize he had broken into the wrong house and remorsefully apologized. Rather than immediately call the police, the homeowner decided it was safer to chat with the Burglar about his family. The want-to-be thief then offered to fix the door he had damaged but the homeowner respectfully declined. The man then left much to the delight of the homeowner, who then proceeded to call the police and report the extremely strange encounter.

LeBlon Cachaca Taste Test Review

After hearing so much about LeBlon Cachaca, I wanted to test this drink out on a dinner party I had with some close friends last week. I used the "Caipirinha" recipe found on this Youtube video:

The recipe is fairly simply. It consists of limes, sugar, and ice. It was definitely easy to follow.

Now the results of the Caipirinha. I paired the drink with a lemon baked white fish, roasted asparagus, and insalata caprese. The lightness of this meal paired perfectly with the summery Caipirinha drink. The lime and sugar made the meal all more refreshing, and it was a great compliment to the meal. The drink was definitely very strong and got my guests buzzed pretty quickly. You can add more sugar and ice to the Caipirinha or even a splash of club soda to make the taste more smooth.

I think it was comparable to a Lychee martini and Mojito to me, which I both really enjoy, so I was a big fan of the drink. Definitely check it out. There's a very exotic and familiar taste to LeBlon Cachaca.

Turtles Cause Delays at JFK

Yesterday morning a large pack of turtles caused delays at JFK Airport in New York as they crossed the tarmac to their usual breeding grounds. Airport officials had to shut down the runway as the group of "sexually starved" turtles took their time crossing and caused delays for several inbound and outbound Jet Blue planes for about 15 minutes. Jet Blue took the situation in stride and tweeted that it was in the best interest of both parties not to run over turtles.

To speed up the process, airport workers were called out to the runway to move the 150 turtles swiftly across the runway. It is probably safe to say both waiting passengers and the turtles were both happy to get things moving a little faster so they could get on with their business

In Shia LeBouf's Today Show interview with Ann Curry, he revealed tidbits of information that he hooked up with Megan Fox during the filming of Transformers and Transformers 2.

He stated: "I never understood the separation of work and life in that situation. But the time I spent with Megan was our own thing, and I think you can see the chemistry onscreen."

Shia LeBouf also admits that the third film was a lot better without Megan Fox, because the angst really benefited his character.

Replacing Megan Fox in the third film is Victoria Secret Angel Rosie Huntington. She will play the new heroine.

Remembering Ryan Dunn

Ryan Dunn, one of MTV's "Jackass" stars, was pronounced dead on early Monday morning. Dunn, 34, who was driving under the influence, had an alcohol level of .196, more than twice the legal limit of .08. Accident reconstruction teams were able to estimate that Dunn was driving between 132 to 140 mph in a 55 mph zone. He was driving a 2007 Porsche which collided with a guardrail and flew through approximately 40 trees before hitting one and bursting into flames. Family and friends attended a private memorial service on Wednesday in honor of Dunn. "Jackass" stars Johnny Knoxville and Bam Margera were in attendance. A public memorial service will be announced at a later date. Dunn's friend, Zachary Hartwell, 30, was the only other passenger in the car, and was killed as well. The accident took place in West Chester, PA, after a night of drinking at Barnaby's of America. The bar will not be charged in the case, because Dunn did not "appear" intoxicated when he left.

A Not So Happy Ending

Hugh Hefner and his almost bride-to-be Crystal Harris have decided to call off their wedding. Crystal explained during an interview with Ryan Seacrest that Hugh did not want to get married again, and was only marrying Crystal because he thought that was what she wanted. Crystal also explained that the playboy lifestyle wasn't for her, and that she wanted to focus on her...music career? The wedding was supposed to have over 300 guests, and money was not an issue because Hugh wanted Crystal to have her dream wedding. This is not a rumor people! In honor of the 10th anniversary of the Honda Civic Tour, the band that started it all with the first honda tour in '01 will be in fact headlining this summer's 2011 tour. My Chemical Romance another huge alternative band will be co-headlining beside them. Opening artists for this year's tour are Manchester Orchestra, Rancid, and Matt & Kim. Depending on your city and date, your venue will have one of the opening artists. Some past headliners for the tour include big names such as Parmore, Panic at the Disco, and Fall Out Boy to name a few. The New York date will be the weekend of the 6th and 7th of August at Jones Beach. Being a huge Blink fan myself since I was young, I can't wait to see my favorite boys live again!

American Idol's Haley Reinhart Eliminated

Haley Reinhart, the 20 year old contestant on Season 10 of American Idol was eliminated last night. While all the contestants were good, Haley stood out because of her "not so pretty" sultry & raspy voice. Haley, who has wild, untamed, curly blonde hair, could hit notes that gave you goosebumps. Haley who sang classic songs such as "Bennie and the Jets," "You Outta Know" and "Fallin'" throughout the season, came in 3rd place to Lauren Alaina and Scotty McCreery who are 16 and 17.

I know you guys are just as excited as I am for the next installment of the 2009 comedy film The Hangover. The wolfpack is back with the same featured stars, Bradley Cooper, Ed Helm, and Zach Galifianakis. This time around the unbeatable trio Phil, Alan, and Doug travel to Thailand for Stu's wedding. As you remember from the original Hangover back in Vegas, Stu has opted for a safe pre-wedding brunch. However, things don't go as planned as they lose the younger brother of Stu's fiancee. It's scheduled to be out in theaters May 26th during Memorial Day Weekend, make sure you guys watch to see what craziness the guys get into this time around! Summertime is the perfect occasion for free concerts! One free concert I really enjoyed last year was the Siren Musical Festival, an annual summertime outdoors concert held in Brooklyn's Coney Island. On its 10th and final year on July 17th 2010, great bands like Matt & Kim, Ted Leo, and the Pharmacists played. It was awesome time to spend a Saturday summer afternoon basking in the sun and rocking out to sweet tunes. The festival has been discontinued, but I look forward to seeing what the coordinators for this event will do in the future.

For those who’ve been living under a rock this past decade, the MTV Movie Awards is a film awards show presented annually. It also contains movie parodies that used official movie footage with hosts and other celebrities. The nominees are decided by producers and executives at MTV. To benefit the Robin Hood Foundation that helps poverty, the Black Eyed Peas will be performing in Central Park June 9th, 2011. Although the concert will be free, you will need to obtain a ticket in order to go, which will be online.

Kate Middleton and Prince William finally wed today in an elegant and luxurious wedding ceremony. The two were surrounded by 1900 lucky guests mostly comprised of close friends and family. Noticeable guests were Elton John, Posh Spice, David Beckham, and Barbara Walters.

Kate wore a dress custom designed by Alexander McQueen, and wore a tiara borrowed from the Queen herself.

NBC's American Idol Killer 'The Voice' premiered last night with some interesting twists to a normal singing competitions. Familiar faces such as Frenchie Davis showed up, as well as some stunning new talent such as Jeff Jenkins as featured in the Youtube video above.

The show mixes up the judging style drastically, where the judges compete for artists if the talent is great enough, or the talent waiting for a judge if they aren't as marketable. It emulates the real life music industry.

I think this show will be a hit. It has all the ingredients of serving as a microcosm of the music industry as well as some fantastic trainwreck moments. I also like it's not about image and the whole package like American Idol, but primarily about sound. It'll be impossible to skate by just good looks in this competition.

Jennifer Aniston Moves to Manhattan for $5.9 Million

New Silent Hill Game to Be Made

Konami's horror survivor franchise, Silent Hill, will have a new game out by this winter. Silent Hill: Downpour will feature be centered around the element of water, and the game will feature a torrential downpour of rain constantly as a backdrop.

It plans to move the franchise into the PS3, XBOX 360 generation and elevate the history built on this series.

The screenshots of this new game look gorgeous, so that probably means the monsters in this game will also be terrifying and hideous. :/

Jersey City Guy Still in the Running for Social Media Internship with Charlie Sheen???

Evan Miniard from Jersey City has caught the eye of Charlie Sheen. After getting out of the running for a Charlie Sheen social media internship, Miniard made plans to greet and talk to Charlie at his trainwreck Radio City Hall show.

Miniard went backstage and asked Charlie to give him another shot at the internship, which Charlie was thoroughly impressed with and exchanged numbers with him. Evan is back in the running.

But, his girlfriend who hates Charlie Sheen decided to break up with him over this craziness.

Tonight, the premiere of Oxygen's Love Games starts. The premise of the show is similar to Vh1's Flavor of Love or I Love New York, where a group of eligible bachelors try to win the love of one of the Bad Girls from the Bad Girls' Club series.

Here's one of the contestants Robert R...who states he wants a "a lady in the living room, a cook in the kitchen, royalty at the dinner table, impeccable manners, and a sexual deviant in the bedroom..."

Without a doubt, social media is getting huge. Foursquare, a social networking tool that allows people to track all the places they've gone to, is a NYC based company. In honor of the company, Bloomberg proclaimed that April 16th will be dedicated.

Dennis Crowley and Naveen Selvadurai are the two co-founders of Foursquare since 2009, and have experienced a massive growth up to 8 million users.

It seems like Foursquare is the first successful New York based social media tool. They should be proud to receive such an honor.

The popular SCREAM franchise releases its fourth film this Friday. It's been over a decade since the last SCREAM film, and from all the buzz and press, it looks like this one will make a killing.

The film combines characters from the previous films and mixes them in with a new batch of ready to slice teenagers.

The SCREAM franchise has always been smart, intelligent, and full of twists and turns. Hopefully, this one won't disappoint, and will start a trend of smarter horror films rather than just ridiculously bloody horror.

It's a battle between the snootiest brands in the world. Christian Louboutin is suing Yves Saint Laurent, for STEALING HIS SHOE DESIGNS!! The Louboutin's trademarked red sole was used in the Yves Saint Laurent Spring 2011 show....but YSL also had purple soles for purple shoes, blue soles for blue shoes, and green soles for green shoes...However, Louboutin is outraged about the red shoes and red sole combination!!!

L will be suing YSL for 1 million dollars worth of damages.
